Bio

Hi,

I'm an adventure travel writer, focussing on neat places to hike, bike, kayak, canoe, climb, backpack and ski.

Toronto-based and proudly independent, I'm the author of six books and a travel columnist for the Toronto Star Newspaper. I contribute regularly to Ski Canada Magazine and you may also see my work in a wide variety of other publications including Doctor's Review and Access Magazine, and in the Montreal Gazette and Ottawa Citizen newspapers. I'm a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.

I tend to be "Jill of all adventure, master of none", my present personal passions are mountain biking and alpine skiing. I also have a strong compassion for wildlife and the environment.
